Welcome back to church

Thank you to everyone for their patience and help this weekend: those who submitted names, Mags for sorting the list out and arranging the seating, those who have waited for a week in order to allow others to attend.  Also, thanks to those who have cleaned church and to the musicians for the music.

Mass Times: Saturday Vigil Mass 6.30pm, Sunday 9.30am and 11.30am (this will give time for the cleaning of church between Masses).

We will have initially a limit of 50 people at any one Mass and once the limit has been reached, no more people will be allowed in church.  In order to attend Mass, please register your interest and your preferred Mass time.  Please let me know by 6pm Wednesday 8th July if you wish to attend Mass and give a means of contacting you (phone or email).  If you attended Mass last week, please do not come next week (so as to enable others to return).

If you or anyone in your household has any COVID-19 symptoms (see below), please do not register.  If you develop any symptoms before Sunday, please do not come to church but let me know so that the places can be offered to others.

When you come to church, if possible please bring with you a face mask or face covering and disposable gloves.  Use the hand sanitisers. When you register an interest in coming to Mass, you will be given a number, indicating your bench in church.  Please follow the directions of the stewards. If you want to light a candle, please see a steward, who will light one for you.  Please use the centre and right side aisles to come into church and leave by the left side aisle.

For the moment, no singing is allowed in church.  We can have some pre-recorded hymns but please do not join in.

At Holy Communion time, the host will be distributed by Fr Ged using Communion Tongs into the hand.  We cannot at present have communion on the tongue or from the chalice.

Please adhere to the above guidelines and please respect the stewards.  They are there to keep everyone safe.

Thankyou!

Fr Ged

The main symptoms of Coronavirus are:

  • A high temperature – this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature)
  • A new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour or, 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual).
  • A loss or change to your sense of smell or taste – this means you’ve notices you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal.

Most people with Coronavirus have at least one of these symptoms.
