Here at St Ann’s School we have established a First Savers Group in partnership with Trafford United Credit Union. We believe that it is important for children to have a good understanding of money, and the importance of saving wisely.
We therefore hold a collection point at the school every Tuesday morning at 8.30 until 9.05am.
Membership is free to all pupils and there is no minimum deposit. If you would like your child to join and start saving then simply call into the ICT suite in the infant building any Tuesday morning along with their first deposit.
On joining all First Savers will receive a Savings Card, which is the First Saver’s record of all payments and a FREE gift. Each First Saver will be given their own unique credit union membership number. First Savers will receive interest on their savings, which is paid to them annually.
Parents and other family members can also enrol as adult members and can of course take advantage of the low interest loans the credit union offers.
Trafford United Credit Union is owned and controlled by local people and delivers a local service. All profits are paid back to members as dividends on their savings and there are no external shareholders. The Credit Unions philosophy is that of “people helping people”.
